Wise Girls’ win region track title

For Wise, this is the second week in a row that the Pumas have been crowned champions, following last week’s county championship. The usual athletes performed well again.

County shot-put champion Nicovia Carter won first place. Allison Cannon also finished first, in the high jump, and second in the 100-meter hurdles. India Griffin won the 100 meters.

Griffin and Alicia Colson finished second and third in the 200. Colson and Kayla Trusdel finished second and third in the 400.

Wise’s county-championship 400-meter relay team of Colson, Griffin, Truesdel and Dayonna Dixon won both the 400 and 800-meter relay races.
