The varsity boys basketball team will have their quarterfinal playoff game against Bladensburg or High Point on Monday, Feb. 28 @ 7pm at Wise. The Semifinals will take place on Wednesday, March 2 and the Finals on Saturday, March 5. Please see the link below for the entire playoff bracket.

Congratulations to the #4 ranked boys’ varsity basketball team who finished 18-0 in 4A Division and also extended their winning streak to 20 consecutive games by defeating Flowers 56-47 last Thursday night. The boys will play in the County Championship game, which will be held at Wise on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 7:30pm against Friendly HS.
Eventhough we will be playing at Wise, we will be the away team. Thus, the theme for the game will be a BLACKOUT to match the boys’ away uniforms. So, please wear all black to the game on Wednesday and encourage your family members to do so as well. Lastly, please plan to arrive early because it will be a packed house and the girls county championship game between Largo and Bowie begins at 5:30pm.

The upcoming Spring Sports Season will begin on Tuesday, March 1st. If you are interested in trying out for one of our Spring Sports: Baseball, Softball, Tennis or Outdoor Track you must turn in a completed Student/Parent Packet during one of the Spring Athletic Clearinghouse sessions in the Athletic Directors Office. The sessions will take place from Friday, Feb. 25 – Tuesday, March 1st from 4-5pm. If you have any questions, please contact Coach OJ Johnson.

The Wise wrestling team has qualified for the Reginal Duals wrestling tounrmant. This is a first for the wrestling team. This year has been a great year were we finish the season with a 11-2 record. This also has been a great year because we had a large student turn out and I hope it will be larger next year. The Regional Duals will be at LaPlata High on Wednesday 9, 2011 at 5:30pm come out and support. Also the Wise wrestling team has won it’s share of the county title. The Wise wrestling team will be competing for a County tournament title on Feb 18 and 19 starting at 5:30 pm. Come out and support the wrestling team.
